Italian cuisine is available in abundance and for those craving for a bite from home there are a selection of restaurants like Ciao and Lo Dolce Vita.
The Souq Waqif is a large market place that has the widest variety of restaurants. It is the best place for a foodie and has some unique places that offer authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Damascus and Al Adhamiyan serve Syrian and Iraqi food respectively and offer some unique dishes. While the food on offer is good, it is also important for expats to understand that Qatari people do not eat pork for religious reasons. They are also against consumption of alcohol. Before venturing out and looking for the food, it is important to understand the local sentiment and culture and their influences on dining.
Doha offers food for as low as $10 and also the much higher priced brunches. But the good news is that there is something for everyone at every price.
